About Me
I'm a twenty-something who is pretty much average everything. I am a college graduate. I am interested in a lot of things (music, business, crafts, diy, fashion, food, etc.). I like having adventures. I am a Christian, LDS to be exact. I play the fiddle. My family is awesome (and crazy). I am married to the most perfect husband in the world. My husband looks like Prince Harry. My feet hurt all the time. My eyes turn green when I cry. blah blah blah that's about it.

Communications, meetings, councils
So this week was kinda cool. We talked about communication which is always a fun topic and we also talked about meetings and how we should conduct them and how the brethren conduct their meetings. That was my favorite part so I am just gonna talk about that to make sure I understand it and how it can be applied. So the brethren meet every Thursday together in the Temple. The start by getting there early of course and as each person comes in they greet them with love and compliments and praise and so on. Once every one is there, they begin the meeting with a prayer. Then they bring up their matters of business one by one and and discuss and solve each matter by a unanimous consensus that everyone agrees and feels that their choice is what the lord would have them do. Once their matters of business are over they end with a prayer and eat refreshments! So this is awesome on so many levels. We need to conduct our "meetings" or any other type of council with our families in a similar fashion. The place matters, the home can be as close to the temple as we can get so that's a good place to start. starting with compliments and expressions of love I feel is pretty important because we need to be in a good mood to effectively feel the spirit and be able to get along with everyone well enough to agree on everything. Opening with a prayer is important because we invite the spirit to be a member of our council and we are able to feel what is right. Coming to a common consensus is also important so that no one member feels that their opinion doesn't matter and everyone can feel connected. Closing with prayer is important because we can express our thanks to Heavenly Father for the things we had accomplished and of course bless the refreshments! And eating together is a pretty intimate thing. We eat around people that we are comfortable with and it is a sort of bonding experience and a time to talk with each other and get to know each other better! So yeah that's cool, but about all I have to say! I really liked this week!
